P. S. Power as an author is a lot like potato chips, addicting. This book, Kindred ( The Young Ancients: Second Cycle Book 3 ) is , first of all a compelling fast paced intriguing novel. Beyond that, it is the beginning of the culmination of a four year sixty-some book ( yeah, that's about one a month !) effort that spans at least six different series and genres ( zombies, fantasy, urban fantasies steam punk, wizardry, and even one book of soft-core porn.) Don't let this discourage any one. Mr. Power has generously grouped most of his series into complications at greatly reduced prices so the reader can get caught up ( figuratively and literally) in his universe(s).In Kindred, Dareg Canton, is a young man who finds himself taking on ... well, virtually the universe...at least the bad guys in it. But of course not alone. He has his family, all wizards, and friends, aliens, machine people, vampires, and of course his daughters, the energy beings. Okay, I know too much for just one book, but if you read any, or all the P. S. Power series this is as I said the beginning of the culmination of ALL his series, you'll understand. Its Epic with a capital E.
So, buy this book, and a few of the other series ( in compilation form) I can't recommend them enough!

Kindred The Young Ancients Second Cycle Book 3 eBook PS Power Reviews
Have read all but one book of the 2 young ancients series. Enjoyed them all but this one got 1/3 of the way in and started adding weird elements and no explanation how it happened.
After that it just followed the weird down a path into a so so happy ending. Other than to tie all of different series together I saw no reason for this.
This is a good addition to the first Young Ancient series, but there needs to be more. Hopefully he'll put out some more in this series, but now with all the crossovers I'm going to have to go back and reread the other series. Overall I really enjoyed this book and the series.

I really have a problem how it describe this book. First this book is great, like almost all of P.S. Power's books. But to understand this book it helps a great deal to have read a lot of the series P.S has wrote because like the Dark Tower for King this new series takes you though most of the others.
So have fun I have. I just have to wait for the next book now.
Thank you P.S. for all your great books I have really enjoyed your fast past action packed thought provoking stories that are really hard to stop reading until all of them has been consumed.. I don't know if its just me but...The Creator of these realities has been struggling to keep his worlds apart. So much that they band together to try to survive the Adversaries( book reviewers/critics) who are trying to destroy these worlds. Majority rules the minority suck it, so please let TOR/Gwen/Brian/J/the Hartleys live along with his sons and just let us know what they are up to.. Missing Keeley and what ever happen to the Clown?.
Take one shot of Heinlein cross space time capering and some sexuality. Mix with action of Multiversal consequences and you may have some idea of what's in this book.
However, if that doesn't whet you appetite for a good time. Let me give ONE teaser Brian Yi.
Ok. 'nuf said.
I love how the books of all that came from the blathering mind of the conglomerate known as P.S. Power has lead in some odd way to this very strange land called Young Ancients.
So check your muggle minds at the door and be prepared for one crazy ride.

Great Book
I have read a number of other series by P.S. Power and was always pleased. Even if the main character in most all of them is self deprecating. After reading this book I need to look back into the other series Power has written.
